This standard specifies ship's inclining experiment methods.
This standard is applicable to passenger ship's experiment and cargo ship's experiment defined according to The International Convention on Load Lines,1966 and whose length is not less than 24m. It is also used as a reference for the test of other ships.
2 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the following term and definition apply.
2.1
lightship condition
The ship sails normally while loading neither consumables for ship, materials, goods, crew and luggage nor any liquid other than mechanical and piping system liquid (such as lubricant and hydraulic oil in the working state).
3 Experiment Purpose, Requirements and Calculation
3.1 Experiment purpose and requirements
The experiment is to determine lightweight and actual position of gravity center.
The experiment shall provide displacement and gravity center position at lightship condition and put the test results into inclining experiment reports.
3.2 Calculation method
3.2.1 Initial stability height shall be calculated according to Formula (1).
GM=W?Y/(△?tgθ) (1)
Where,
CM——the initial stability height at experiment state, in m;
W——the moving weight during the experiment, in t;
Y——the moving distance of weight, in m;
△——the displacement at experiment conditions, in t;
θ——the heeling angle measured in the experiment, in °.
3.2.2 Longitudinal coordinate of gravity center shall be calculated according to Formula
