1.0.1 This code is formulated with view to enabling the steel cable tray (hereinafter referred to as cable tray) to have advanced technology, economic feasibility, safety and usability and high quality in the design, manufacturer and project application.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to design and construction of cable tray engineering as well as cable tray manufacture, test and inspection with regards to industrial and civil buildings.
1.0.3 Cable tray engineering design shall be closely cooperated with building and structure, technique and other disciplines concerned to determine the optimal cable tray route layout.
1.0.4 The cable tray products shall not be used only if they are inspected and confirmed to be qualified by state-approved quality inspection units; the trial production of new cable tray products shall be identified or evaluated.
1.0.5 If cable tray is used in the cable laying project, it shall not only comply with the requirements stipulated in this code but the provisions stated in current related standards.
