This standard specifies the terms and definitions, composition of heater, model preparation rules, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging and storage of city-bus fuel fired heater.
This standard is applicable to city bus. Other vehicles such as sightseeing bus, interurban bus, lorry or special vehicle may be made reference to this standard.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.

Fuel fired heater (hereinafter referred to as "heater")
The device providing heat source for the temperature rise of air in carriage, the defrosting of windshield glass and the engine prewarming, with fuel oil as fuel and air or liquid as heat conducting medium.
