1.0.1 This standard is formulated with a view to promoting the rational design, manufacture and installation of the cold-formed thin-walled steel structures of low-rise residences and living up to the requirements of state-of-art technology, economy and rationality, quality guarantee and safety and usability.
1.0.2 This standard is applicable to the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of the low-rise residences whose major supporting members adopt the 550MPa high-strength cold-formed thin-walled steel, whose number of floors do not exceed three and whose structural height should not exceed 10m.
1.0.3 While the cold-formed thin-walled steel structures of low-rise residences are designed, they shall incorporate with the practical conditions of the project; the materials, structural concept and construction measures shall be reasonably adopted to guarantee to meet the requirements of the strength, stability and rigidity in the process of transportation, installation and use, and meet the national standards concerning with the requirements of the fire prevention, antisepsis and architecture energy-saving.
1.0.4 For the requirements of the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of the cold-formed thin-walled steel structures of low-rise residences not stipulated in this standard, the provisions in the relevant national standards shall be complied with.
