General specification for arc flash protection equipment
1 Scope
This standard specifies the basic technical requirements, technical parameters, test methods and inspection rules of arc flash protection equipment.
This standard is applicable to arc flash protection equipment and related device (hereinafter referred to as equipment) as the basis for product development, design, manufacturing, test and operation.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions and those given in GB/T 2900.1, GB/T 2900.17 and GB/T 2900.49 apply.

arc flash protection equipment
protection equipment for rapidly cutting off the corresponding failure device taking the electric arc flash signal generated when the primary power equipment fails as the main criterion and other failure quantities such as current as the auxiliary criterion
