This standard specifies gas relay's mechanical performance, actuation reliability, main feature and the inspection and test requirements and methods of full group protection etc.
This standard is applicable to QJ-25, QJ-50, QJ-80 type gas relays (hereinafter referred to as relays) and used as the regulation and criterion for inspection of relay during field installation and in operation.
2 Relay Structure and Appearance Inspection
2.1 The relay's enclosure, glass window, outlet terminal, probe and bellows etc. shall be intact.
2.2 The internal parts of the relay shall be intact and each screw shall be tightened up by spring cushion; the fixed support shall be firmed reliably and each weld shall be welded well and no welding leakage.
2.3 Air release valve and probe operation shall be flexible and the distance between the probe head and baffle tongue shall keep 1.5~2.5mm.
2.4 The open cup shall rotate flexibly in 0.3~0.5mm and the minimum distance between the open cup and outlet terminal during rotation shall be not less than 3mm.
2.5 Dry reed contact shall be firmly fixed, the glass tube intact, the outgoing line from root welded reliably; the outgoing hard column shall not be bent and arranged and fixed by being covered by the soft plastics tube and the permanent magnet is fixed firmly in the frame.
2.6 The connection between the spring and adjusting screw rod is stable and reliable and vertical to the rest position of the baffle.
2.7 The baffle shall rotate flexibly with the sphere of activities of it’s axial direction in 0.3~0.5mm. The movableblade of the dry reed contact shall faces the permanent magnet and keeps parallel; the two contacts shall be adjusted disconnected and connected simultaneously as much as possible.
2.8 The dry reed contact of the open cup shall be connected into the outlet terminal acting on the "signal"; the two dry reed contacts of the baffle shall be connected in series into the circuit acting on "tripping". Check whether the plug hole is smooth.
3 Relay Actuation Reliability Inspection
3.1 Inspect actuation reliability of dry reed contact acting on "tripping"
Rotate the baffle to the position where the dry reed contact start works and the gap between the permanent magnet side and the glass tube side of the dry reed contact shall be 2.5~4.0mm. Continue to rotate the baffle to the final position, the dry reed contact shall be absorbed reliably and the distance shall be kept in 0.5~1.0mm, or else the baffle shall be adjusted.
3.2 Inspect actuation reliability of dry reed contact acting on "signal"
Rotate the open cup and the dry reed contact shall be absorbed reliably from just starting to finial position of actuation and keep the sliding distance not less than 1.5mm, or the open cup shall be adjusted.
