This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and models, requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of firestop collar for plastic pipes.
This standard is applicable to firestop collar for PVC-U plastic drainage pipes in industrial and civil buildings, and may serve as reference for other firestop collars.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purpose of this document, the following term and definition apply.

firestop collar for plastic pipes
collar consisting of a shell made of metal and other materials and a flame-retardant expansion core material, which is sleeved on the outer wall of the plastic pipe; wherein, the core material can rapidly expand in case of fire to compress and block the fire, thus preventing fire from spreading along the pipe
4 Classification and models
4.1 Classification
4.1.1 The firestop collars for plastic pipes (hereinafter referred to as "firestop collars") may be classified into series such as 75mm, 110mm, 125mm, 160mm and 200mm according to the nominal outer diameter of applicable plastic pipes.
