3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions specified in GA 2-1999 and GA/T 440-2003 and those listed below apply.
3.1
vehicle security alarm network system
an information system composed of vehicle equipment, communication network, monitoring center and position service unit, and incorporating anti-theft and -robbery functions. Vehicle equipment, while providing security protection and local alarming functions for the vehicle, also transmits information, e.g. alarming, to the monitoring center for processing by means of wireless and wired communication networks and the monitoring center then sends command to the vehicle via communication network to implement remote control and monitor over the vehicle. Where necessary, the system dispatches alarm-processing vehicles and persons by means of tracing the alarming vehicle, to realize robbery prevention and aid.
