This standard established to implement "environmental protection law", "law of water pollution prevention", "marine environment protection law" and "fishery law" normal growth of the People's Republic of China, to prevent and control water quality pollution in the fishing zone and to ensure normal growth, reproduce of tortoises, shrimps, shellfish and the alga and the quality of aquatic products.
1 Content and Application Scope
This standard is applicable to seawater or fresh water fisheries areas, such as spawning ground, feeding grounds, wintering grounds, migration pathway and enhancement and aquaculture centers.

3 Water Quality Requirements for Fisheries
3.1 Water quality of the fisheries area shall conform to provisions in Water quality standard for fisheries (see Table 1).
