This standard specifies the discharge limits, monitoring and supervision requirements of water pollutants from iron and steel production enterprises or production facilities, and relevant requirements of implement and supervision of standards.
This standard is applicable to the discharge management of water pollutants from iron and steel production enterprises or production facilities.
This standard is applicable to the environmental impact assessment of construction project of iron and steel industry, the design of environmental protection facilities, acceptance upon completion of environment protection facilities as well as the discharge management of water pollutants after putting into production.
This standard is not applicable to the discharge management of wastewater for iron ore mining and selecting, wastewater for coking and wastewater of ferroalloy.
This standard is applicable to the pollutant discharge behavior allowed by the laws. The site selection of the pollution source set newly and the management of the current pollution source in the special protection zone shall comply with the relevant regulations in such laws, regulations and rules as "Law on Prevention of Air Pollution of the People's Republic of China", "Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Water Pollution" , "Marine Environment Protection Law of the People's Republic of China" ,"Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention of Environmental Pollution Caused by Solid Waste" and " Law of Environmental Impact Assessment of the People's Republic of China".
The discharge control requirements of water pollutants specified in this standard are applicable to the behavior that the enterprises directly or indirectly discharge water pollutants out of their legal boundaries.
