This standard specifies the type, specification, technical requirements, test, inspection rules, packaging, storage and transportation of compression type terminal lugs and ferrules for power cables with copper or aluminium conductors of 35kV and below, and recommends the die-set and compression connection process key points.
This standard is applicable to compression type terminal lugs and ferrules for power cables with copper or aluminium conductors of 35kV and below. The cross-sections of copper and aluminum conductors are respectively 16~400mm2 and 10~400mm2, and can also be referenced by other power cables for fixed laying.

3 Terms
3.1
compression type terminal lugs
conductive fitting that connects the cable end conductor to the electrical device by compression connection, in which usually one end connected to the end conductor of the cable is tubular, and the other end connected to the electrical device is a plate of a specific shape
3.2
compression type ferrules
a tubular conductive fitting for connecting two or more cable conductors in the middle of the line by compression
