This Standard specifies the safety technical requirements and test methods for children tricycles ridden by one or more children.
This standard is not applicable to toy tricycle or tricycle designed for other special purposes (for example, amusement tricycle).

3 Terms and Definition
For the purpose of this Standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
Children Tricycles
It refers to a kind of wheeled vehicles that the contact points of wheels with the ground shall be able to form triangle or trapezium and is only driven for travelling by manual pedaling. If the form constructed of contact points of wheels with the ground is trapezium, the narrow track width shall be less than half of the wide track.
3.2
Track
It refers to the distance between two wheels with one common axle, namely outer end size of two wheels contacted with the ground (See Figure 1).
