1 Scope
This standard specifies term and definition, product classification, requirements and test methods, sampling, marking, packaging, transportation and storage, safety and standard implementation of gasoline for motor vehicles.
This standard is applicable to gasoline for motor vehicles used for spark-ignition engine and derived from petroleum or derived from petroleum and added with additives improving performance

4 Product Classification
Based on research octane number, gasoline (IV) for motor vehicles is classified into three designations, i.e. #90, #93 and #97 and gasoline (V), gasoline (VIA) and gasoline (VIB) for motor vehicles are classified into four designations, i.e. #89, #92, #95 and #98.
