This standard specifies the limited values of energy efficiency and rating criteria, target minimum allowable values of energy efficiency, evaluating values of energy conservation and test methods for small and medium three-phase asynchronous motors (hereinafter referred to as: motors).
This standard is applicable to general-purpose motors or general-purpose explosion-proof motors of single-speed enclosed self fan cooled, N design and continuous duty system with a voltage below 1000V, the power is supplied by a 50 Hz three-phase AC supply, the rated power is within a range of 0.55kW~315kW, and the number of poles is 2, 4 and 6.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this document.
3.1
Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for motors
The minimal standard values of motor efficiency allowed under the test conditions specified in this standard.
3.2
Target minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for motors
The minimum standard values of motor efficiency allowed after this standard has been implemented after certain years.
3.3
Evaluating values of energy conservation for motors
The minimal standard value that shall be reached by the motor efficiency which meets the requirements of energy conservation certification under the test conditions specified in this standard.
4 Technical Requirements
4.1 Basic requirements
The general performance, safety performance, explosion-proof performance as well as noise and vibration requirements of motors shall meet the relevant standards respectively.
4.2 Energy efficiency grades of motors
The energy efficiency grades of motors are classified into 3 grades, and therein Grade 1 has the highest energy efficiency. The actually measured efficiency of motors of each grade shall not be less than those specified in Table 1 under the rated output power, and the tolerance shall meet the requirements of Chapter 12 in GB 755-2008.
For motors of which the rated power value is not listed in Table 1, their efficiency may be determined with the linear interpolation method.
4.3 Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for motors
The efficiency of minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for motors under the rated output power shall not be less than those specified in Grade 3 of Table 1.
