This standard specifies the kart classification and homologation.
This standard is applicable to imported karts and karts produced, sold and used within the territory of China as well as their appraisal inspection, acceptance inspection, arbitration inspection and product certification.
2 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
2.1
kart
the manually operated single-seat micro racer powered by small gasoline engine or motor, steered by two front wheels and driven by two rear wheels, with the total height (excluding seat) less than 650 mm, with the pneumatic tyre with diameter no greater than 350 mm and with four wheels permanently contacted to the ground but without differential gear
2.2
minimum weight
the mass of complete kart (including engine and its accessories, chassis and its accessories and tyre) without fuel
