This standard specifies the permissible limit and determination method (see Appendix A) of harmful aromatic amines in dyed product.
This standard is applicable to each dosage forms of commercial dyes, dye products, dye intermediates and textile dyeing auxiliaries.

3 Requirements
Content of each kind of harmful aromatic amines (see Appendix A) in products such as dyestuff shall be less than or equal to 150mg(aromatic amine)/kg (product); harmful aromatic amine limit of liquid dye and pigment printing paste etc. in dye product shall be converted according to its solid content.
4 Principles
Reductive decomposition with sodium hydrosulfite shall be carried out for dye sample in citrate buffer solution (pH=6.0), aromatic amine in splitting solution shall be extracted directly by organic solvent and, then after concentration, it shall be inspected by gas chromatography - mass spectrometer.
