This standard specifies the inspection items, inspection methods, inspection requirements and handling of inspection result for motor vehicles safety technology inspection.
This standard is applicable to the technical safety inspection performed by motor vehicles safety technology inspection body, as well as to the safety technology inspection on inbound motor vehicles performed by entry-exit inspection and quarantine body. Motor vehicles approved to have practical road test and those temporarily inbound may have safety technology inspection by reference to this standard.
This standard is not applicable to safety technology inspection of the tractor that runs on road, e.g. tractor towing trailer for transportation.

Inspection for unregistered vehicle
Safety technology inspection on the motor vehicle applying for registration, performed by motor vehicles safety technology inspection body.
