This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and identification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, comprehensive judgment criteria, packaging, marking, storage and transportation of firestop material.
This standard is applicable to firestop materials or firestop subassembly used for various through holes/cavities and structural joints in buildings and structures as well as various facilities, excluding fire expansion seals used in construction fittings and firestops collar of PVC-U piping for building drainage.
