This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and labeling, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for white granulated sugar.
This standard is applicable to white granulated sugar produced with sugarcane or beet as direct or indirect material.

3 Technical Requirements
3.1 Grade
White granulated sugar is classified into four grades, namely refined grade, premium grade, Grade I and Grade II.
