This standard specifies the technical requirements, statistical range, calculation methods, and energy conservation management and measures for the norm of energy consumption per unit product of the main production system of pulp, machine-made paper and board.
This standard is applicable to the calculation and assessment of the energy consumption per unit product of such main production system of pulp, machine-made paper and board with plant fiber as the main raw material as well as the energy consumption control of new, reconstructed and extended enterprises (plants). This standard is applicable to the pulp and paper products listed in Appendix A.

3 Terminologies and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terminologies and definitions established in GB/T 12723 and the following ones apply.

A complete technological process and equipment composed of the working procedures from the preparation of fibrous raw materials after measurement to the warehousing of pulp or market pulp via production process by chemical and mechanical methods, etc.
