This standard specifies the technical requirements, inspection requirements, inspection rules, package and accompanying documents of active opto-electronic protective devices (AOPD) used in the dangerous work area of press.
This standard is applicable to the AOPD used for the safety protection of press and also applicable to the AOPD used for the safety protection of other types of metal forming machinery (e.g. plate bender, hydraulic press, plate shear, hammer, etc.).
