1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This standard is formulated with a view to following out the scientific outlook on development and "Iron and Steel Industry Development Policies", guaranteeing blast furnace ironmaking technology design to be of advanced technology, economy and rationality, resource conservation, safety and practicality, and protecting the environment against pollution.
1.0.2 This standard is applicable to technological design of new and modification works of blast furnaces ironmaking.
1.0.3 The effective volume of new blast furnaces must reach 1000 m3 or higher level. The blast furnaces in the iron and steel project located in seaside deepwater harbour area must be higher than 3000 m3.
1.0.4 The ironmaking technology design of blast furnaces shall be based on beneficiated materials, and adopt ironmaking technologies including coal injecting, high air temperature, high pressure, oxygen enrichment and low-silicon smelting. The design shall fully follow out the ironmaking technology policy "high efficiency, high quality, low consumption, long life and environmental protection".
1.0.5 The blast furnace ironmaking technology design shall meet the requirements of the current relevant national standard and codes, besides this standard.

2.0.1 Effective volume of blast furnace

Percentage of actual operation time accounting for calendar time.
2.0.5 Coke ratio, coke rate
Quantity of dry coke consumed by blast furnace operation for per ton pig iron, also called as ratio of putting coke into furnace
2.0.6 Coal ratio, coal rate
Quantity of pulverized coal consumed by blast furnace operation for per ton pig iron
2.0.7 Coke nut ratio, coke nut rate
Quantity dry egg coke consumed by blast furnace operation for per ton pig iron
2.0.8 Fuel ratio, fuel rate
Sum of fuels, inlcuding, pulverized coal and egg coke, consumed by blast furnace operation for per ton pig iron
2.0.9 Heat consumption per ton hot metal
Quantity of energies consumed by last furnace operation for per ton pig iron, including the total consumption of process fuel and dynamics energy. the heat consumption per ton hot metal is the consumed energy of ironmaking procedure divided by pig iron output.
2.0.10 Oxygen enrichment
Increase percentage of oxygen content in blasting air after oxygen enrichment
3 Basic Requirements
3.0.1 Blast furnaces shall be divided into grades 1000 m3, 2000 m3, 3000 m3, 4000 m3 and 5000 m3, and each grade shall represent a effective volume range of blast furnace.
3.0.2 In the ironmaking technology design of blast furnaces, the quality of raw material and fuel and their supply conditions shall be implemented in accordance with the requirements of this standard.
3.0.3 The furnace volume of blast furnaces shall be maximized, and the final scale of new blast furnace plant iron smelting plant should be 2 ~ 3 furnaces.
3.0.4 The blast furnace ironmaking technology design shall be proposed recommended scheme by comprehensive analysis and scheme comparison according to the condition of the nation and the plant.
3.0.5 In the ironmaking technology design of blast furnaces, the recovery utilization facilities for byproduct and energy must be arranged. The facilities for energy conservation, consumption reduction and environmental protection shall be simultaneously designed, constructed and put into production with the main works.
3.0.6 New and rebuilt blast furnaces and their ancillary facilities shall comply with the relevant national regulations and requirements in waste gas, wastewater, solid waste, noise, etc.
3.0.7 The selection o equipments for blast furnaces shall improve the reliability and monitoring level hereof.
3.0.8 The melted iron in molten state and slag are transported by railway or plant area road. the solid material entering the blast furnaces and the materials transported out should be transported by rubber belts.
