1.0.1 This code is formulated in order to implement national relevant principles and policies, unify technical requirements and achieve safety and reliability, advanced technology, and economy rationality in the design of the general warehouse and lay down area of petrochemical industry.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the design of constructed, extended and renovated engineering of general warehouses and lay down areas for solid materials, barrelled (bottled) liquid materials and gas materials of petrochemical enterprises.
This code is also applicable to the design of the warehouse and lay down area relying on the society.
1.0.3 Not only the requirements stipulated in this code, but also those in the current relevant ones of the nation shall be complied with for the design of general warehouse and lay down area of petrochemical industry.
2 Terms
2.0.1 General warehouse
All warehouses for production, operation and maintenance services of the whole factory as well as warehouses for bulk raw materials (fuels), finished products and semifinished products.
2.0.2 General lay down area
All kinds of stacking areas for production, operation and maintenance services of the whole factory as well as open-air areas for stacking bulk raw materials (fuels), finished products and semifinished products.
2.0.3 Warehouse area
The area composed of part or all warehouses, lay down areas, auxiliary production facilities, administrative management facilities, auxiliary rooms (including toilets and bathrooms).
2.0.4 Barrelled material warehouse
It refers to the warehouse for the materials stored in packaging barrels with external packing made of rigid materials, such as steel barrels, wooden barrels and plastic barrels.
2.0.5 Bagged material warehouse
It refers to the warehouse for the materials stored with external packing in plastic films, kraft papers or composite materials (flexible materials).
2.0.6 Hazardous material warehouse
It refers to the warehouse for storing such hazardous materials as flammable, explosive, poisonous, corrosive, combustion-supporting or radioactive materials (except for bulk raw materials (fuels), finished products and semifinished products) and it must be set independently in petrochemical enterprises.
2.0.7 Chemical material warehouse
It refers to the warehouse for storing such non-hazardous materials as chemical reagents, catalytic agents and additives (except for bulk raw materials (fuels), finished products and semifinished products) and it is set independently in petrochemical enterprises.
2.0.8 Releasing pressure area
It refers to the area that is able to release air pressure in the warehouse instantaneously when the air pressure suddenly increases because of explosion of hazardous materials in the warehouse.
2.0.9 Palletize
It refers to the packaging grouped unit of barrelled and bagged materials that are manually or mechanically stacked on the pallet or grid according to certain rules.
2.0.10 Drive-in racking
A kind of continuous integral rack that not divided by channels, which is also known as drive-through rack.
2.0.11 Prevailing wind direction
It refers to the larger frequency wind direction in some area.
2.0.12 Minimum frequence wind direction It refers to the minimum frequency wind direction in some area.
