1.0.1 This code was formulated to implement the policy of "prevention first" in the design of electrical engineering of industrial enterprises so as to reduce the seismic failure and loss of electric equipments and avoid casualties.
1.0.2 This code applies to the aseismic design of the electric equipments of those industrial enterprises with voltage of 220kV and bellow in such areas with the design basic acceleration of ground motion being less than or equal to 0.40g (the seismic fortification intensity is of Degree 9 and bellow).In areas with design basic acceleration of ground motion above 0.40g or for the electric equipments of such industrial enterprises for special purposes, the aseismic design shall be carried out according to the relevant special national regulations.
1.0.3 The electric equipments with aseismic design according to this code may not be damaged and can be used continuously when suffering the earthquake effect of or bellow the local seismic fortification intensity.
1.0.4 In such area with design basic acceleration of ground motion of 0.05g (the seismic fortification intensity of Degree 6) and above, the electric equipments must have the aseismic design.
1.0.5 According to the significance and special needs in the power supply system, the electric equipments of enterprises may be divided into important electric equipments and general electric equipments and also shall comply with the following requirements:
1 The electric equipments with voltage 110kV and 220kV or those supplying power for the first level load of enterprise, as well as other electric equipments that need to be guaranteed to supply power continuously during earthquake are important electric equipments;
2 The electric equipments not included in Item 1 are the general electric equipments.
1.0.6 The design basic acceleration of ground motion shall be in accordance with those specified in the "Seismic Ground Motion Parameter Zonation Map of China"; the areas with established seismic protection zone or the project site done with seismic safety evaluation may be carried out with seismic protection according to the approved design seismic ground motion parameter or the approved seismic fortification intensity.
1.0.7 This code specifies the basic technical requirements for the aseismic design of electric equipments of industrial enterprises, and the aseismic design shall be implemented according to the requirements of the national laws and administrative regulations if this code conflicts with the requirements of the relevant national laws and administrative regulations.
1.0.8 The aseismic design of electric equipments not only shall comply with this code, but also shall meet those specified in the relevant current national standards.
