This standard specifies the method for determination of fat in pasteurized milk, sterile milk, raw milk, modified milk, milk powder, condensed milk, butter, cream, cheese and baby formula foods.
The first method of this standard is applicable to the determination of fat in pasteurized milk, sterile milk, raw milk, acidified milk, modified milk, milk powder, condensed milk, butter, cream, cheese and baby formula foods, and the second method is applicable to the determination of flat in pasteurized milk, sterile milk and raw milk.

First Method
3 Principle
Extract alkali hydrolysate in the sample with ethyl ether and petroleum ether, remove the solvent through distillation or evaporation, and determine the mass of the extractive dissolved in the solvent.
4 Reagents and Materials
Unless otherwise specified, all reagents used in this method are analytically pure, and the water is the Grade 3 water as specified in GB/T 6682.
