This standard specifies the classification and designation, order contents, dimensions, shape, weight and permissible tolerances, requirements, inspection and test, packing, marking and quality certificate for ship and ocean engineering structural steels.
This standard is applicable to steel plate with thickness no greater than 150 mm, steel strip and shear plate with thickness no greater than 25.4 mm and profile steel with thickness or diameter no greater than 50 mm (hereinafter referred to as steels), all of which are used to manufacture ship, fisher and ocean engineering in the ocean, coast and inland river navigation region.
