This standard describes the determination theory of aluminium in calcium metal, and specifies the analytical procedures, result calculation and method precision.
It is applicable to the determination of aluminum in calcium metal. The determination range is 10~1 000μg/g with allowable amount of impurities (mg/g): 1.5 of Fe, 3.0 of Cu, 1.0 of Mn, 1.0 of Ni, 0.3 of Cr, 0.3 of Co and 10.0 of Mg.
2 Method summary
Dissolve the specimen with hydrochloric acid (1+1), add sodium acetate and copper reagents, adjust the pH value to 5.6~6.0, extract and separate impurities such as iron, nickel, copper and manganese with chloroform, and then add oxine chloroform to extract aluminium, and measure the absorbance of the organic phase at 390nm spectrophotometer wavelength.
3 Instrument
3.1 Spectrophotometer (wavelength of 390nm may be selected).
3.2 Acidometer (pH value error is not more than 0.1).
3.3 Glass electrode.
3.4 Calomel electrode.
