This Part specifies test method for the determination of hydrogen sulfide content in natural gas by lead acetate reaction rate method.
This Part is applicable to the determination of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) content in natural gas. Air does not interfere. The applicable range is 0.1 × 10-6 ~ 16 × 10-6 (φ) (approximately 0.1 to 22 mg/m3) and measurement range may be extended to higher H2S concentration by manual or automatic volumetric dilution. This Part is also applicable to the determination of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) content in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), substitute natural gas, and mixtures of fuel gases.
This Part does not purport to address all of the safety concerns. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
