GB/T 6903 Analysis of Water Used in Boil and Cooling System — General Rule
JIS K0101:1998 Determination of Turbidity
3 Principle
This standard is modified in relation to JIS K0101:1998. The rationale is that determination is made by comparing light transmission of measured water sample and standard suspension by spectrophotometer using formazine suspension as the standard.
The colored water sample can be filtered with a 0.15 μm membrane filter and used as the blank solution.
4 Reagents and Materials
4.1 Reagent purity shall comply with GB/T 6903.
4.2 Turbidity-free water: filter Class II reagent water with a 0.15 μm filter membrane at a flow rate of 3 mL/min, and discard 200 mL of the initial filtrate. It is prepared just before use.
