1 Scope
This standard specifies the test methods for the acceleration performance of motor vehicles.
This standard is applicable to motor vehicles belonging to the categories of M and N.

3 Test Conditions
3.1 Meteorological condition
The test shall be carried out at an atmospheric temperature of 0℃~40℃ without any fog, rain or hail, and the air velocity shall be not larger than 3m/s.
3.2 Road condition
The road surface shall be clean, dry and smooth, either concrete or asphalt (or equivalent). Moreover, its longitudinal gradient shall not be larger than 0.1%.
3.3 Fuel and lubricating oil (grease)
The brand and specification of fuel and lubricating oil (grease) used by the testing motor vehicle shall meet the technical conditions hereof. And the fuel and lubricating oil (grease) used for different performance testing within one test shall be of the same batch.
3.4 Vehicle preparation
3.4.1 Running-in
The vehicle shall be run-in for no less than the running-in mileage specified in its technical conditions. The tire tread shall remain at least 75% of thread and be kept in good conditions. Before the test, all the tires shall have run in for at least 100km.
3.4.2 Vehicle inspection
The vehicle shall be inspected, and adjusted as necessary according to the manufacturer's technical requirements.
3.4.3 Test instrument installation
The installation of test instruments shall not influent the operation and the running characteristics of motor vehicle.
3.4.4 Quality of vehicle test, and load distribution
3.4.4.1 Motor vehicles belonging to category M1 and category N1(the maximum designed total mass is less than 2t).
Vehicle test quality, and load distribution refer to the requirements of road test in GB/T 12545.1.
3.4.4.2 Motor vehicles belonging to category M2, M3 and N(the maximum designed total mass is less than 2t).
Vehicle test quality refers to the requirements of road test in GB/T 12545.2.
The load of the vehicles belonging to category M2 and M3 are uniformly distributed according to GB/T 12428; the load distribution of vehicles belonging to category N refers to GB/T 12534.
3.5 Vehicle preheating
The vehicle shall have run for preheating before the test.
