GB/T 12726.5-1997 Radiation monitoring equipment for accident and post-accident conditions in nuclear power plants--Part 5: Monitoring equipment for air radioactivity
This standard specifies criteria for the design, selection, functional location, testing and calibration of installed radiation monitoring equipment, and provides technical characteristics and test procedures of the monitoring equipment.
This standard is applicable to equipment used for monitoring airborne radioactivity within nuclear power plants with light water reactors during and after accident conditions.
The following applications are not fall within the scope of this standard:
— equipment for continuously monitoring radioactive noble gases in gaseous effluents (GB/T 12726.2);
— process stream in light water nuclear power plants (GB/T 12726.4);
— equipment for continuously monitoring radioactivity in gaseous effluents (GB 7165.1 to GB 7165.6).
Accident may be monitored by the equipment include loss of coolant accidents, waste gas decay tank ruptures, spent fuel drop accidents or other postulated conditions resulting in fuel cladding failures.
