This standard specifies technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marks and transportation of harbor portal cranes (hereinafter referred to as cranes)
This standard is applicable to cranes used for loading and unloading operation of port breakbulk cargo, bulk cargo, freight containers and complete set of equipments. Cranes used by shipyards and power stations could also be used and referred to.

3 Technical Requirements
3.1 Requirements for complete machines
3.1.1 The design of cranes shall meet those specified in GB/T 3811 and this standard.
3.1.2 Cranes shall be made and installed according to approved drawings and relevant technical documents in the established procedure and meet those specified in this standard.
3.1.3 In the rated load test of cranes, each mechanisms shall be in a good in working order, free from abnormal noises, component s shall be in good order and condition and joints shall be free from looseness, construction parts shall be free from flaw, permanent deformation and surface coat crinkle, weld seams shall be flawless, electrical elements shall be in good order and condition and the operation of the complete machine shall meet performance requirements specified in the design.
3.1.4 In the static test, cranes shall be able to bear a test load 1.25 times of the rated elevating capacity. as for crane with the work class of A7~ A8, the test load shall be determined in accordance with design specifications. In the test, each mechanism shall be in good working order, free from abnormal noises; mechanisms and structural strength shall meet design requirements, free from residual deformation and damage and the joints shall be free from looseness; the fixed joint surfaces shall be free from oil impregnate and the operating joint surfaces shall be free from oil dripping; electrical elements shall be in good order and condition.
3.1.5 In the static test, cranes shall be able to bear a test load 1.25 times of the rated elevating capacity. as for crane with the work class of A7~ A8, the test load shall be determined in accordance with design specifications. In the test, mechanisms and structures shall be flawless and free from permanent deformation, the path shall be free from crinkle, the joint shall be free from looseness and the joint surface shall be free from oil impregnate and cranes shall not be abnormal.
3.1.6 If the stability test is carried out for the crane, stability test load and static stability test load shall be implemented in accordance with GB/T 3811.
3.1.7 New products shall accomplish an operation industrial gender for at least 1000h. In the test, each several parts of the crane shall be free from big damage or abnormal performance. In the test, the crane shall not have out of service for more than 3 times on the same part (including 3 times)
