This standard specifies the terminologies and definitions, symbols requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of zinc-air batteries for electric road vehicle (hereinafter referred to as batteries).
This standard is applicable to the zinc-air batteries for electric road vehicle with mechanical switching as energy supplement.

3 Terminologies and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the terminologies and definitions defined in GB/T 2900.41 and GB/T 19596 as well as the following ones apply.
3.1
Zinc air battery
The device converting chemical energy to electric energy with oxygen in the air as anode active substance, metallic zinc as cathode active substance and alkaline solution as electrolyte.
3.2
Mechanical switching zinc air battery
The zinc air battery which mechanically switches zinc electrode and electrolyte for energy supplement.
3.3
Cell
The basic unit device which directly transforms chemical energy into electric energy, including electrode, diaphragm, electrolyte, enclosure and terminal, and which is designed to be rechargeable.
