This part of GB/T 20501 specifies the design principles and requirements for the direction signs which are composed of the arrow and graphical symbol , graphical symbols which are ccomposed ofthe arrow and writing , direction signs which are ccomposed ofthe arrow and the graphical symbol with accessorial writing and intercombination of direction signs in the guidance system for public information.
This part is applicable to the design of direction signs for the guidance system for public information in public places are intended for use in, for example, civil airports, railway passenger stations, public traffic hubs and stations, shopping centers, hospitals, sporting, hotels, restaurants, tourism areas and street blocks.
This part is not applicable to the design of evacuation route sign.
