This standard specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage of motor vehicle air-conditioning unit (hereinafter referred to as air-conditioning unit).
This standard is applicable to motor vehicle air-conditioning unit for refrigeration purpose.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in JB/T 7249 as well as those listed below apply.

an air conditioning system consisting of compressor, condenser, throttling element, evaporator, fan, and necessary control components, used to regulate the temperature and humidity in the motor vehicle, and providing the passenger with comfortable environment
