This standard specifies terms and definitions, classification and labeling, requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as packaging, transport and storage of the double skin metal faced insulating panels for building (hereinafter referred to as "sandwich panels").
This standard is applicable to the factory made sandwich panels for exterior walls, partition walls, roofs and ceilings of industrial and civil buildings. Reference may also be made to this standard for the use of other sandwich panels.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 4132 and the following apply.
