This standard specifies information coding of information source, failure phenomenon, service types, service modes, failure cause, maintenance measures and responsibility for failure involved in the process of after sales service of household and similar electrical appliances.
This standard is applicable to the information coding involved in the process of after sales service of household and similar electrical appliances.
2 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
2.1
Coding
The process of convert the information into code according to certain protocols or formats.
2.2
Number code
The numeric character set (0 to 9) served as the significant character of each code position.
2.3
Letter code
Capital or lowercase English letter character set (A to Z, or a to z) served as the significant character of each code position. Generally, mixed application of capitalization capital and lowercase letters is not permissible.
2.4
Mixed code
Mixed application of numeric character set and alphabetic character set simultaneously and served as the significant character each code position.
3 Failure Coding System
3.1 Failure coding system is mainly used to record the coding of correlative and interactive key information which involved in the service process, include: user information code product information code, failure maintenance information code, accessories information code, etc.
3.2 User information code records the relevant information of user, mainly include: country and region, name, telephone, postbox, address, post code, etc.
3.3 Product information code records the relevant information of product, mainly include: product, series, type, delivery number, date of acquisition, installation date, date of repair request, etc.
3.4 Failure maintenance information code records the relevant information of service process and result, mainly include: information source, failure phenomenon, service type, service mode, failure cause, maintenance measures and responsibility for failure, etc.
3.5 Accessories information code records the relevant information of used accessories in the process of service, mainly include: accessories name, accessories coding, etc.
4 Coding Rules of Failure Maintenance Information Code
4.1 Classification
Failure maintenance information code include 8 types in total: information source code, status code, symptom code, service type code, service mode code, failure code, maintenance code and responsibility code.
4.2 Information source code
4.2.1 Information source code is universal coding used to indicate user's type of required service.
4.2.2 Information source code is single-bit numerical code, which classified into 4 types in total, see Table 1.
