1 Scope
1.1 This standard specifies the manufacturing, inspection and acceptance requirements of aluminium, titanium, copper, nickel and nickel alloy pressure vessels, and common modes and basic parameters of heads.
1.2 This standard is applicable to semispherical, elliptical, dished, spherical cap, flat bottom and tapered heads for pressure vessels formed by pressing, spinning, rolling and splitting in whole plate or assembled plates.
1.3 The manufacture, inspection and acceptance requirements of heads for atmospheric pressure vessels and other pressure equipments may also comply with this standard by reference.

4 Mode Parameter and Mark
4.1 The name, section form, type code and mode parameter relationship of common head are detailed in Table 1 and Table 2. The final letter A or B of type code in Table 1 and Table 2 respectively represent taking inner diameter or outer diameter as reference. The numbers marked in the bracket of type code of tapered head are half vertex angle of tapered head required by design.
4.2 Except the types of dished heads listed in Table 1, there are some other common dished heads: Ri=0.8Di, ri=0.154Di; Ri=0.833Di, ri=0.154Di; Ri=1.0Di, ri=0.15Di; Ri=1.0Di, ri=0.06Di; Ri=0.9Di, ri=0.17Di ect. The calculation of dimension, internal surface area, volume, mass as well as total depth of dished heads may be carried out by reference to the methods provided in Appendix A.
