This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, designation method of specifications mark and its additional marks, specifications, dimensions, pneumatic pressures, and loads and rims of motorcycle tyres.
This standard is applicable to the new pneumatic motorcycle tyres.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions established in GB/T 6326 apply.
4 Classification
4.1 Motorcycle tyres of code-designated series
Tyres in this series are applicable to the rims with the nominal diameter being 4 to 21.
As for the tyres with the nominal rim diameter larger than or equal to 14, the cylindrical WM rims or 5° tapered MT rims shall be adopted.
As for the tyres with nominal rim diameter less than or equal to 12, the divided DT rims, drop center DC rims or 5° tapered MT rims shall be adopted, with the maximum travel speed being 100 km/h; such tyres should not be used for non-highway tasks, such as transporting etc.
