This standard specifies general vocabularies of automated guided vehicle (AGV) and its system.
This standard is applicable to the product design, manufacture, marketing service, operation and usage of automated guided vehicle and its system.
2 General Vocabularies

automated guided vehicle (AGV)
a kind of transport vehicle which is equipped with electromagnetic or optical automated guided device, controlled by computer, and characterized by wheeled movement. It has power or power conversion device and can run along specified guidance route automatically. Generally it has functions such as safety protection and transfering

automated guided vehicle system (AGVS)
the generic term of a complete system composed of automated guided vehicle, host control system, guidance system, communication system, charging (power supply) system and the like

onboard control system
the generic term of onboard control software and its related components controlled by automated guided vehicle
2.4
host control system
the generic term of computer software and its related components for dispatching and monitoring automated guided vehicle
2.5
navigation
the method for determining position and heading direction of automated guided vehicle in running area
2.6
guidance
the control method for automated guided vehicle to realize automatic running along specified route
2.7
fixed route guidance
a method for providing automated guided vehicle with guidance by setting guidance information media that can be detected by automated guided vehicle on running route, such as wire guidance, magnetic tape guidance and optical guidance
2.8
open route guidance
a guidance method by presetting the coordinate information of running area on the host control system of automated guided vehicle and detecting the actual vehicle position coordinates in real time during vehicle running and controlling the vehicle to run along selected running route automatically
