This standard specifies classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of plastic storage containers.
This standard is applicable to plastic storage containers made of raw materials, like polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), polycarbonate (PC), polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) and acrylonitrile - styrene copolymer (AS) by injection molding (hereinafter referred to as "storage container").

3 Terms and definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions and the ones defined in GB/T 16288 apply.

plastic storage container
plastic container with a labeled capacity of no larger than 10L used to contain non-food articles
3.2
labeled capacity
workable capacity labeled on a product
4 Classification
4.1 By structure, storage containers are classified into: cover storage container and cover-less storage container.
