This part of GB/T 3048 specifies the terms and definitions, test apparatus, specimen preparation, test procedures, test results and evaluation, and test records of test of tracking resistance test.
This test method is applicable to test the ability of electric cables and wires to withstand damage from electrical tracks caused by surface leakage under contaminated conditions. Results not based on the contaminated conditions specified in this part may not be compared with the results obtained according to the test method.
This part shall be used in combination with GB/T 3048.1.
