This standard specifies the procedures, contents and methods for organization assessing of the conformity of the restriction of hazardous substances in electronic and electrical products.
This standard is applicable to the conformity assessment for hazardous substances in electronic and electrical products carried out by the organizations.
Note: Organizations mainly refer to producers of electronic and electrical products.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
organization
group of people and facilities with an arrangement of responsibilities, authorities and relationships
Example: Company, corporation, firm, enterprise, institution, charitable organization, agent, association, or parts or combination thereof.
3.2
producer
natural or legal person responsible for the design and manufacture of the products, in whose name or with whose trademark the products are put on the market, or who actually produced the products

electronic and electrical product; EEP
equipment and supporting products, including materials, components, parts and/or complete machines, that rely on current or electromagnetic fields for operation or is intended to generate, transmit and measure current and electromagnetic fields, with the rated working voltage not exceeding 1,500 V for direct current and not exceeding 1,000 V for alternating current
