1 Scope
This part of GB/T 4146 defines the terms and definitions of various man-made fiber products used for textiles or other applications.
This part is applicable to man-made fibers in fields such as production, application, business, scientific research and education.
2 Product Classification

man-made fibers; chemical fibers
fibers made by human beings, excluding natural fiber
Note: Man-made fibers are divided into regenerated fibers, synthetic fibers and inorganic fibers.

regenerated fibers
man-made fibers with natural products (cellulose, protein, etc.) as raw materials and made by spinning
2.3
synthetic fibers
man-made fibers made of polymers which are synthesized by chemical materials such as organic single units
2.4
inorganic fibers
fibers with minerals and the like as raw materials
2.5
regenerated cellulose fibers
regenerated fibers with natural cellulose as raw material and made by spinning
2.6
regenerated protein fibers
regenerated fibers with native protein as raw material and made by spinning

bio-based fibers
fibers with biomass as raw material or made of polymer containing biomass source monomers
