This part of GB/T 5099 specifies types and parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, coating, packaging, transportation and storage, and product certificate and batch inspection certificate of quality of quenched and tempered seamless steel gas cylinders with tensile strength less than 1,100Mpa (hereinafter referred to as "steel cylinders").
This part is applicable to design and manufacture of refillable steel cylinders with nominal working pressure no larger than 30MPa, nominal water capacity of 0.5L~150L, operating ambient temperature of -40℃~60℃, and being used for containing compressed gas, high pressure liquefied gas or gas mixture.
This part is not applicable to the cylinders for vehicles and the ancillary bottle type pressure vessels on machinery equipment.
Note: Seamless steel gas cylinders of nominal water capacity less than 0.5L may also be manufactured and inspected in compliance with this part.
