This part of GB/T 5359 specifies the general principle and terms related to dimensions of motorcycles and mopeds.
This part is applicable to the motorcycles and mopeds (hereinafter referred to as "vehicles") defined in GB/T 5359.1.
2 Normative Reference
The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this part, constitute provisions of this part of GB/T 5359. For dated reference, subsequent amendments to (excluding corrigendum contents), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, the parties whose enter into agreement according to this Part are encouraged to research whether the latest editions of these documents are applied or not. For undated reference, the latest edition of the normative documents referred to applies.
GB/T 5359.1 Term for Motorcycles and Mopeds - Types of Vehicles
3 General Principle
Unless otherwise specified, the followings are default:
a) The supporting plane of vehicle is horizontal, with length and width in horizontal plane while height in vertical plane;
b) Vehicle mass refers to complete vehicle dry mass;
c) Tyre inflation shall realize consistency with the air pressure specified in the technical document of vehicle manufacturer;
d) Vehicles shall be in static and upright state and the engine shall be out of operation. The wheels shall be in the straight-line driving position of vehicle. Door and window of right three-wheeled vehicle shall be closed;
Note: this clause is not applicable to 4.3.2 and 4.3.3.
e) "Vehicles" refer to the new vehicles assembled by the manufacturer according to standard;
