3 General
3.1 Preparation before test
3.1.1 Inspection and adjustment of tested vehicle
3.1.1.1 Tested vehicle shall be accompanied with Operation and Maintenance Instructions or relevant technical documents.
3.1.1.2 Inspect manufacturer's name, designation, model, vehicle identification number, engine No., end-of-manufacturing date etc. of tested vehicle and keep record.
3.1.1.3 Inspect the assembly quality and completeness of all assemblies, components and accessories of tested vehicle, whether the exposed parts and components have visible damage and whether the accompanied tools are completed. Inspect the tightening degree of important fasteners, lubricating oil (grease) fueling and sealing state at each lubricating point, whether the electrical systems, operating systems and braking systems can work normally according to the requirements of Operation and Maintenance Instructions or relevant technical documents.
3.1.1.4 It is permissible to adjust the tested vehicle according to the requirements of Operation and Maintenance Instructions or relevant technical documents to keep the vehicle at normal technical state.
3.1.2 Breaking-in of tested vehicle
3.1.2.1 The tested vehicle shall run on flat highway with small gradient according to the requirements of Operation and Maintenance Instructions or relevant technical documents.
3.1.2.2 In breaking-in period, regularly inspect the fastening condition and working condition of each part of vehicle, timely adjust and remove the failure and record the failure conditions in detail. The breaking-in distance is 1000km. If it runs less than 1000km before test, the manufacturer may decide whether to conduct the test.
