GB/T 7165.3-2008 Equipment for continuous monitoring of radioactivity in gaseous effluents - Part 3: Specific requirements for radioactive noble gas monitors
This part in GB /T 7165 is applicable to equipments for simultaneous, delayed or ordinal monitoring on radioactive noble gas in gaseous effluents discharged to the environment.
As for the monitors for radioactive noble gas effluents, they shall have the following functions:
——Measure the volume activity of radioactive gas at gaseous effluents discharge points and its variation with time;
——Start alarm signal when it exceeds the preset value of volume activity or total discharge activity;
——Determine the activity in radioactive gas discharged in given time and /or the mixture component information of radioactive gas.
This standard don't include measurement on natural radioactive noble gas——radon. However, if there is radon or its decay daughter, it will affect measurement on other (non-natural) radioactive gas.
This standard aims to specify the specific requirements (including technical characteristic and general test conditions) for noble gas effluent monitors and to give examples for feasible methods.
This standard GB /T 7165.1—2005 specifies general requirements, technical characteristic, test methods, radiation characteristic, electrical characteristic, mechanical characteristic, safety characteristic and environmental characteristic. Unless otherwise specified, those requirements are all applicable to this standard.
