This standard specifies the test implementation, parameter measurement, data processing, performance curve plotting and test report of power reciprocating pump (hereinafter referred to as "pump").
This standard includes two measurement precision grades: Grade 1 is applicable to high-precision test while Grade 2 is applicable to general-precision test. The two measurement precision grades include different tolerance coefficients, allowable fluctuations and measurement error limits.
This standard is applicable not only to pumps without any pipeline accessories, but also to pump assemblies with pipeline accessories.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions specified in GB/T 7785 as well as the followings apply.
3.1
rated differential pressure
difference between the rated discharge pressure and the rated suction pressure of the pump
4 Test implementation
4.1 Test types
4.1.1 Type tests shall be carried out for the identification of the first pump and the random inspection and approval of mass-produced pumps. The type test items are listed in Table 1, and the test precision shall not be lower than Grade 1.
4.1.2 For mass-produced pumps or finalized pumps, end-of-manufacturing test shall be carried out according to the items listed in Table 1.
