This national standard specifies the general method to determinate water insoluble matter with gravimetric determination.
This standard is applicable to the determination of water insoluble matter in water-soluble solid chemical reagent. When water insoluble matter is determined in accordance with this standard, the insoluble matter gained through the calculation according to the sampling amount and the specification value must not be less than 1 mg.
This standard is not applicable to the determination of water insoluble matter that is not stable in boiling water or in chemical reagent (erodes glass filter crucible).
